The Regency Cafe - Pimlico
Imposing black tile Deco exterior with lovely Gill typface logo. Walls and ceiling are good but all the original tables and seating have been removed from the interior leaving the old place looking very out of sorts. (But I still love it) Built into the base of a 1930s block of mansion flats, the Regency is often used for period film shoots...

Last night i did a spot of Karaoke, as you can see i did not get into it that much!! ;)
The one thing i love about karaoke is that you think about loads of old songs you have forgotten about. My winning tune last night has to be EMF - Unbelievable.
EMF were the first live band i ever saw, i must of been around 7yrs old and i was so in love with these boys i begged my dad to take me to Gloucester leisure centre to see one of their first big gigs!!! I can even remember what i was wearing. Reebok white freestyles, neon Bermuda shorts and a white baggy Tshirt, actually the same as i have on today. Well not really but pretty close, somethings just don't change.

Anyways have a listen!!!

SUMMER DAYS MAKES ME FEEL FINE....

What do you do when you have been working stupid hours and not getting home til after 1am and the sun has been blasting through the windows and everyone you know has been chilling in the park and all you can do is wave to them from over your laptop liked a little caged hamster.
Well, this is what you do...
You head up to SH linger around waiting for the prime positioned sofa next to the pool to be vacated, order a cold glass of Rose, drink it so fast that you don't just order another glass you order a bottle,





















and then a few more glasses.
End up getting pretty pissed and start to wish you had your bikini with you.

Anyways even though i have a complete love/hate relationship with Shoreditch House I cannot deny it is the best place to people watch, and i am happy it has given us LDN'ers a pool in the middle of all the dirt and grime to chill by.

I just stumbled across these pics and i love them, they are by Daryl Banks a canadian photographer based in Toronto. He works across fashion, advertising and fine art.
Just checked out his website and it actually did not look that great, but i still love these.

There are a number of very interesting updates on the website of super talented sculptor Xavier Veilhan. One such update is a giant version of his work titled Sophie, which was created for the restaurant Le Germain. The work is so large to the extent that it exists on two floors of the building. Very impressive.
