WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?
I HAVE ALSO BECOME PRETTY BORED OF LOOKING AT BLOGS (NO OFFENCE). ON ONE HAND I AM FED UP LISTENING TO PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT STUFF THAT INTERESTS/ INSPIRES THEM AND THEN ON THE OTHER HAND I AM BORED WITH PEOPLE BIGGING THEMSELVES UP AND INFORMING THE WORLD HOW BUSY THEY ARE BEING FABULOUS.
(YEAH WE ARE ALL GUILTY OF IT).
AS I HAVE NOT BEEN OUT AND ABOUT LATELY DUE TO WORKING LIKE A BITCH AND SELLING MY SOUL FOR THE £$£$£$£ THE INTERNET HAS BECOME MY ONLY ESCAPE TO THE REAL WORLD, HOW FUCKING SAD IS THAT!!!! YEP I AM A LOOSER ;)
I HAVE BEEN CHECKING MY FACEBOOK MORE THAN NORMAL, JUST TO SEE WHATS HAPPENING IN THE SO-CALLED “REAL” WORLD, IT’S PROVIDED ME A WELCOME DISTRACTION FROM MORE PRESSING MATTERS AND THE IMPORTANT STUFF THAT SEEMS MORE OF A EFFORT TO ATTEND TO.
BUT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. ALL THIS NOSING AROUND, POKING AND STATUS UPDATING HAS TO STOP!!! WELL MAYBE JUST REDUCED!!! AS OVER THE PAST FEW WEEKS IT HAS REALLY BECOME APPARENT THAT IT IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR PERSONAL ENCOUNTERS. THE ONE THING I MISS THE MOST IS FINDING ABOUT THE “NORMAL” SIDE OF PEOPLE, AND HEARING WHAT IS REALLY ARE ON THEIR MINDS AND WHAT THEY ARE REALLY THINKING ABOUT. IT IS GETTING BORING TO HEAR ABOUT HOW WONDERFUL EVERYTHING IS AND HOW MANY AMAZINGLY COOL FRIENDS YOU HAVE IN HIGH PLACES (FRIENDS THAT YOU HAVEN’T GOT A CLUE ABOUT REALLY, BE HONEST) ETC ETC. I AM NOT SAYING EVERYONE IS GUILTY OF THIS, BUT SOMETIMES OUR WORLD JUST SEEMS A LIL TOO SELF INDULGENT.
I AM INTERESTED IN THE “REAL” YOU!!! WHAT YOU HAD FOR YOUR BREAKFAST? WHAT REALLY SHIT SONG ON THE RADIO YOU REALLY CANNOT HELP SINGALONG TOO (AND I AM NOT BEING IRONIC), HOW GUILTY YOU ARE FEELING FOR NOT CALLING YOUR MUM ON MOTHERS DAY? ALL THOSE KIND OF THINGS WE NEVER MENTION BECAUSE WE DON'T THINK THEY ARE IMPORTANT. BUT THEY ARE!! THOSE ARE THE THINGS THAT MAKE US, US!!!!
YEP I DO LIKE REAL LIFE, MIKE LEIGH IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE FILM DIRECTORS, AND MARTIN PARR IS ONE OF BELOVED PHOTOGRAPHERS. IT ALL MAY SOUND A BIT OF A CLICHE BUT I JUST CANT HELP IT.
ALL THESE FEELINGS HAVE PROVOKED ME TO REVERSE THE ROLES AND RATHER THAN READ THE BLOGS OF PEOPLE I FIND INTERESTING, I HAVE CHOOSE TO TURN THE TABLES AND ASK THEM A FEW QUESTIONS THAT I AM INTERESTED IN FINDING THE ANSWERS TOO.
THIS IS GOING TO BE A ON-GOING SERIES ON INTERVIEWS, OR LETS JUST CALL IT CONVERSATIONS. FEATURING GUEST BLOGGERS, EVERY WEEK I WILL BE ASKING A DIFFERENT INTERNET STAR A SERIES OF QUESTIONS. THE FIRST SET OF INTERVIEWS HAVE THE SAME QUESTIONS JUST SO WE CAN REALLY GET TO KNOW THESE PEOPLE I FIND INTERESTING.
AND TO GET THE BALL ROLLING I PROUDLY PRESENT THE QUEEN OF THE STREETS HERSELF...
MISS CLAW MONEY

IN NOVEMBER 2007 I (CHECKINIT)COLLABORATED WITH NIKE AND CLAW MONEY AND DESIGNED THE "BOUNCING ON TOP OF THE WORLD EXHIBITION IN SOHO
WHO ARE YOU?
Claw Money - the one and only.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
What don't I do?! I am an artist, designer, business woman, author, brand consultant, fashion editor, tv exec and blogger.
WHY DO YOU WRITE A BLOG?
It is a fun creative outlet for me and a great way to connect to my fans and friends.
DO YOU THINK THAT BLOGGING HAS MADE YOU A "COOLER" DESIRABLE PERSON?
No, the opposite! It has made me definitely uncooler and much more accessible to the masses, but the kids want to be able to reach you and this way they can get a nugget of claw-spriation everyday.
WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR INSPIRATION FOR YOUR BLOG POSTS?
The internet is very inspirational and I concentrate on art and fashion- there is a never ending supply of genius and stupidity - which are both equally inspiring.
WHAT BLOGS DO YOU LOOK AT AND WHY?
I skim Hypebeast, Highsnobiety, Trashbag Aesthetics, Dlisted, Jezebel, Gawker, Animal New York, and Cityrag everyday -
I have to run my business and make art - reading blogs distracts me from the real tasks at hand.
WHAT MAKES A BLOG INTERESTING?
Unearthing news, or putting a new spin on a familiar subject. Having a real point of view, good writing and humor.
HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU SPEND LOOKING
AT BLOGS EACH DAY?
An hour tops.
HOW WOULD YOU SPEND YOUR TIME IF YOU
WERE NOT CHECKING OUT BLOGS?
Doing the work that piles up each day. Budgets, color palates, design themes, planning press stuff with my pr team, making samples and endless phone conferences- you know, the regular....
DO YOU THINK SOCIAL NETWORKING AND BLOGS
HAVE MADE YOU LESS CONTENT WITH YOUR OWN LIFE,
OR HAS IT MADE IT MORE EXCITING?
Well my life was way more exciting before the internet. The web is full of shallow, narcissistic, desperate for attention people screaming to get 30 seconds of your time. But that is the way of the world now - at the same time one can throw themselves into the spotlight and get their 15 minutes. I like that you can make yourself out of nothing now.
WHAT EFFCTS DO YOU THINK BLOGS AND SOCIAL NETWORKING
HAVE ON YOUR MENTAL HEALTH?
None - I do it just to do it. I never really check out anyone's twitters - there I said it!! Sorry guys! If you are really my friend, we will chat - I don't need a public play by play of your day....
DO YOU THINK YOU WOULD HAVE AS MY "FRIENDS" IF
THE INTERNET SUDDENLY DISAPPEARED?
Yes. The internet people are not my friends. My friends and I talk on the phone, write emails if they live far away, have meals together and party - the other people just gawk at my pics and clever notations.
WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF BLOGGING AND HOW ARE YOU GONNA BE PART OF IT?
Who knows - the world is so crazy right now, I'm just down for the ride......
WITH LOVE

SOMEONE GET THE KLEENEX
ITS BEEN A WEEK OF EARLY MORNINGS, LOTS OF DESIGNING, HIGH FLYING EMOTIONS AND TEARS.
BUT HEY ITS NOT ALL BEEN A WASTE OF TIME AS I HAVE JUST LEARNT...
It sounds funny, but if you eat a lot you naturally have to release a lot into the toilet. Likewise, if you drink a lot, you're going to have a similar result. Crying is the same. But the crazy thing is that people do not know they are taking in painful feelings and painful thoughts, let alone understand how to release them from their system.
Crying is perhaps the easiest and fastest way to release emotional pain, but unfortunately it has become socially unacceptable for both men and women to cry in public. We are already aware of all the social stigmas attached with those who cry in public (ie: weakness, in need of attention, etc.), but what most people are not aware of is the new scientific studies that actually prove tears caused from 'emotional crying' carry toxins not normally found in the tear created to simply moisten the eye.
Crying, like sneezing, coughing and defocating, is a natural way of releasing toxins that are associated with various emotions: both those considered 'good' and those considered 'bad'.
Biochemist William Frey (Crying: The Mystery of Tears, Winston Press, Texas, 1977) compared the normal moisturizing tear with the tear caused by emotion and found that stressful tears contained ACTH or adrenocorticotrophic hormone. ACTH is a hormone associated with high blood pressure, heart problems, peptic ulsers and other physical conditions closely related to stress.
THIS GUY CAN DO NO WRONG
HERE ARE SOME OF MY FAV PIECES
Dutch artist Parra gets set to open up his latest exhibition Saturday, April 4th at HVW8 Art + Design Gallery in Los Angeles. The show will feature new original works exclusive to the exhibition entitled “Is That A Gun My Friend?” which will run through May 9th, 2009.
“32-year-old Dutch illustrator and designer Parra has decorated the Amsterdam underground with his playful, bizarre graphics that span a broad base of themes, from introspective to audacious and bawdy. The mostly self-taught artist channels vintage forms, yet with a decidedly modern, post-pop approach and a distinctive, hand-drawn feel. His vibrant images and typography can be seen on prints in various exhibitions around the globe, on a flyer for a club near you, on the sleeve of a record, or on limited-edition tees and sweaters.”
CUTE
